Strip Steaks with Red Wine Sauce
Buy Sutton & Dodge® Strip Steaks.
Heat oil in large skillet on MEDIUM-HIGH. Place steak in skillet. Cook 8 to 12 minutes, turning once, until cooked through (160°F). Remove steak from skillet; keep warm.
Reduce heat to MEDIUM. Add 1 Tbsp. butter, onion and garlic to skillet. Cook until softened, about 2 minutes. Add wine, broth, brown sugar and thyme. Cook 8 to 12 minutes until sauce is reduced by half and has thickened.
Remove pan from heat. Whisk in remaining 2 Tbsp. butter, one tablespoon at a time. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
To serve, spoon sauce over steaks.
